Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Risley Avenue Primary School is fully committed to providing an inclusive environment where all pupils can achieve their full potential. We support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through high-quality teaching, targeted interventions and personalised support.
Pupils’ needs may relate to communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, or sensory and physical development. Support is carefully planned and reviewed using the Assess – Plan – Do – Review approach, in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
We work closely with parents, staff and external professionals to ensure that children receive the appropriate support and make good progress. Where necessary, additional support may be provided through an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Markfield provides impartial information, advice and support for young people and parents/carers of child with Special Educational Needs and Disablities.
